It’s been one year since the world as we knew it changed.  Yesterday, Governor Wolf announced major reopenings in Pennsylvania effective April 4, so it looks like we are finally getting back to a sense of normal. It is time to get your body back to normal and power cleanse.

What does the new normal look like for Zock Family Chiropractic?

At Zock Chiropractic, we will continue to put our patients’ health and protection from COVID front and center as we treat patients.  We follow all CDC guidelines for social distancing and sanitizing, and disinfecting surfaces between patients.

We will continue to wear masks and keep waiting room patients more than six feet apart from one another as they wait.  With warmer weather approaching, we will have our outdoor seating available for patients that refer to wait outside.  Last week we received this review on Google from one of our patients which explains what we do, better than we can ourselves.

“Amazing. 1st of all, they take Covid seriously, and actually do what’s needed, not just pretend to be compliant. Her method is intuitive. You can tell it’s entirely based on skill and knowledge. Her level of attention and care is unlike anything I’ve experienced with any dr. She also fixed a severe neck issue that another chiropractor had caused due to him rushing. Also, I didn’t know a chiropractor could adjust without force. Her preparation to get you ready for adjustment makes it so she barely has to touch you for the adjustment to work. I’m sending everyone I know to her.”

What do you need to do for your new normal?

Many of our patients complain about COVID belly.  It won’t be long before we are able to go out to dinner with friends and family.   It is not too soon to think about how are you going to get back into shape.  At Zock, we carry a full line of Nutritional Frontiers products.  It is not too early to plan on resetting your metabolism as you plan for your life to return to a sense of normalcy.

Getting Started is best done with a Power Cleanse  According to Nutritional Frontiers –

Power Cleanse is a unique formulation that supports detoxification and can be used as part of a liver-cleanse protocol. With 15 grams of protein per scoop, Power Cleanse makes a filling snack, or alternatively as a replacement or addition to a small meal. Power Cleanse features pea, rice, and pumpkin as its protein source. These vegetable protein sources provide amino acids required by the body for people who are vegetarians, have food allergies or sensitivities, or who are looking for a hypoallergenic meal replacement. These essential amino acids must be obtained through diet; the human body does not synthesize them

Chances are that with all of the home-bound activities and binge eating of junk food over the last year, your liver can use a break.  As you probably know the liver processes toxins so they can be removed from the body.  Getting your liver clean is a great start on jump-starting your metabolism.

Remove Complete Kit Cleanse- Power Cleanse:

The detox process occurs in two phases. Power Cleanse is a special formula that supports both phases of detoxification. The formula contains many vitamins, minerals, a macronutrient matrix, and of course a detoxification matrix. The vitamins and minerals support phase 1 of the detox process. They aid in cell growth, fat metabolism, and energy supply. The macronutrient matrix contains 15 grams of protein and 15 grams of carbohydrates and fiber that are essential in disease prevention, growth, and overall optimal health. The detoxification matrix contains amino acids and milk thistle, which are used for liver health.

Depending on your preference of how many meals to have each day as you perform a metabolic reset you can choose to complete you process in 10, 15 or 30 days.

10-day detox:

  • 1 scoop of Power Cleanse, 3 times per day
  • 1 meal per day

15-day detox:

  • 1 scoop of Power Cleanse, 2 times per day
  • 2 meals per day

30-day detox:

  • 1 scoop of Power Cleanse, 1 time per day
  • 3 meals per day

Nutritional Frontiers products are only sold through professional health care providers like Zock Family Chiropractic,  Why not ask us about how you can get rid of COVID belly the next time you stop in for your adjustment or a massage. I would be glad to explain how you can use the products to get started on your return to normal.

Stress – How to cope with the new normal

green Covid

Going Green – COVID update.

We all remember Kermit singing that it’s not easy being green, but we are excited that Allegheny and Butler Counties are now in green status. For Zock Family Chiropractic, that means that we will be offering massage therapy starting on Monday.  We are all experiencing more stress than is then normal due to isolation and the lack of human contact.  Both massage therapy and the soft tissue work that Dr. Zock performs prior to adjustment are useful techniques from reducing muscle stress and tension, increasing your sense of well being, and eliminating toxins from your body. Woman sitting, holding cup - Many of us now have more time to sit and ruminate in our anxiety - how can we stay present and keep ourselves less stressed during this time?

Amidst the uncertainty and chaos surrounding Covid-19, many of us are feeling increased bouts of anxiety and general stress. And while we’ve talked about the physical way stress presents itself in the body, we haven’t discussed the concept of coping with the anxiety itself. Since many of us now have more time to sit and ruminate in our negative thoughts, we thought now might be a good time to talk about the ways we can stay present and keep ourselves less stressed during this time.
